How to use it

Shut the PC down completely (hold Shift while clicking Shut down, so Fast Startup does not skip the key).
Press the power button.
Immediately tap F2 about twice a second until the BIOS opens. For the boot menu, tap F12 instead.

On many Acer laptops the F12 boot menu is off by default: open BIOS with F2, go to Main, and set "F12 Boot Menu" to Enabled.
Works on Aspire, Swift, Nitro, Predator and TravelMate.

Works on every Windows PC: start the BIOS from Windows

In Windows, open Settings > System > Recovery.
Next to Advanced startup, click Restart now.
Choose Troubleshoot > Advanced options > UEFI Firmware Settings > Restart.
The PC restarts straight into the BIOS.

Use this when the key does not work. Fast Startup often makes Windows boot too quickly to catch the key.
