The PC does not meet the minimum requirements for the Windows version you are installing.
How to fix it
- For Windows 11, check the processor is on Microsoft's supported list and that TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are on.
- TPM and Secure Boot are often just switched off in the BIOS: see the BIOS key page to get in.
- Run Microsoft's PC Health Check app to see exactly what fails.
Is it serious?
If the processor is unsupported, the PC cannot officially run Windows 11. Free Windows 10 updates ended on 13 October 2026.
